What's an "internet marketing" web site?

An internet marketing web site is a web site that's been custom designed to generate profit and income using internet marketing principles and direct response techniques.

I define an e-commerce web site as any site that sells products or services online using a 1-step sales process. That means the customer purchases the product right off the web site.

The emphasis of an internet marketing web site design is NOT e-commerce features like a shopping cart and credit card processing. Rather, it emphasizes several special online marketing methods and sales features I've described in detail below.

An internet marketing web site can sell services or products. It is possible to design a web site with both online marketing concepts and e-commerce.

I've been building these features into my own web sites for many years and recently began offering this service to my website design clients.

'Copy' means the words on a page. To increase sales and conversion it's essential to have:

Very compelling headlines - specially written and tested.
Clearly defined benefits directed right at for your target audience.
Credibility features like audio or video testimonials can be added.
A very definite offer.
A sense of urgency so that visitors feel compelled to act right now.

Finally, good copy will give your visitors a specific call to action and suggests a way for them to respond.

 

Conversion Architecture

This is a fancy way of saying that your site has been designed so that visitors are led step by step through a sales process, no matter what they click on. A solid conversion architecture builds desire and urgency with each click, and culminates in the close of a sale. Effective conversion architecture identifies precisely where your site's visitors are 'falling out' of the online sales process and then fixes that leak - so that you are continually getting the highest rate of conversion possible for each and every visitor to your website.


Essential Marketing Concepts Built In

A good front end, a rich and diverse back end, list building, a consistent continuity program, your compelling story and vision, gathering target marketing information, creating adjacency revenue streams, techniques that compel and increase visitor interactivity, targeting special offers to segments and niche's, brand creation and extension and utilizing your USP are just a few of the principles I build in to every marketing based web site I design.


Opt in's and Auto-responders

Building your own list of people who have chosen to receive information from you is sometimes called 'Permission Based Marketing. This involves setting up compelling reasons for people to opt in, and then delivering quality content that makes compelling offers and delivers value to your target audience.

My copy writing experience comes from being an NLP (neurolinquistic programming) trainer for 10 years and from taking copy writing courses including Carl Galetti's Copy writing Protege Program.

My search engine optimization skills were acquired by hiring SEO experts to mentor me, from taking advanced SEO courses at UNLV, from attending several conferences and from using and testing SEO methods on my own web sites for many years. I often consult other top search engine optimization experts for their insights and advice.

3. Knowledge of sales and direct response marketing

I developed marketing and sales skills from running my own businesses for over 20 years and from being a sales and marketing trainer for fortune 1000 companies. I've also studied with some of the top marketing experts in the world including Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy and others. I attend numerous marketing conferences to discover the latest SEO, web site promotion and online marketing techniques.

Finally, I generate over 95% of my income from my online marketing methods - all of which comes from my own websites. I currently own over 90 URL's in more than 17 different industry niches.
